WHAT IS THE RIAMMP?

THE RHYTHMS INDEPENDENT ARTISTS MUSIC MENTORING PROJECT or RIAMMP is a pilot for an after-school program for teens aspiring to pursue an entrepreneurial career in the music/recording industry.

THE WORK

In our pilot, a team of Local, Independent Artists, Music Producers and musicians will mentor and instruct nine Diverse Chicago high school students how to write, arrange and record their 1st original song.

In addition to its recording experience, our mentors will also educate these young hopefuls on the importance and necessity of learning and understanding about the Business of Music, such as how to legally protect their creative works, joining a performance rights organization to become registered songwriters and understanding royalties and publishing compensation.

THE REWARD

To promote their hard work, students will have the ultimate experience of having their songs published and distributed to various major music markets thru RHYTHMS RECORDS, our very own independent music label created exclusively to showcase our RIAMMP Artists.

Proceeds from sales will provide scholarships to participating students as well as raise funds to expand and offer the program to future students.

THE GOAL

Ultimately, The RIAMMP will provide its participants with the essential knowledge, experience and direction to professionally pursue their dreams as young entrepreneurs in the music/recording industry.

Welcome our first three students as they share their Stories, their Dreams and their Music!
